Some Random Christmas Pics

This one is the kids opening the one present that came to Mom and Dad.  As if they did not have enough to open.   It was a Blue Ray DVD player that we have already used a couple times.  (Grandma and Grandpa Johnson got the same present).

So, this one kinda shows the bikes and Jessica's baby crib that Santa brought.  I think this crib found it's was from Kurt and Erin's house to ours.  Wonder how Santa is so smart, it is a huge hit!

Getting ready for the first bike ride.  Somewhere around here are Jessica, Mom and Dad.  It was beautiful riding around the neighborhood.

Temple lights.  This was the day before Christmas eve.  Silly kiddos.  Sure love this annual trip. No matter how crowded, we always see Luke II.  (Which Brit thought was Luke eleven.)

Zach's B-day

This was supposed to be a non-party year.  Where they get to take a friend to dinner. Well, Zach could not narrow it down, so we ended up with 3 friends at Peter Piper Pizza.  - Might as well call it a party.

Zach is very into Lego's this year.  So I found these magnets and added them to cupcakes.  From the second the kids saw these they were fighting over which guy was theirs.

Seriously?  On a non-friend party year.  What a big pile of presents.  Zach is so lucky.  However, it is a long wait for him until next December.

I am adding a few pictures of our deocrations. Brian did a great job out front!

This one is my idea.  I pulled these gumball machines out of the garage.
Now my kids have to earn 1 quarter a day to get one.  They are always
asking what they can do next to get a gumball.

This is our big tree in the family room.  I like it where I am most of the time.
That way, I can enjoy it.

Christmas Fun

Below is one of Santa's biggest helpers - who lives in our neighborhood. He has an elaborate sleigh with raindeer in his front yard. Several times in the month of December Santa comes to visit. Until this year my kids have all been terrified of him and will not even sit on his lap. This year they both talked with him! Evidently, Zach wants a cheetah stuffed animal and Jessica just wants whatever Santa will bring.
Brittany was with her achievment day girls ( 10 and 11 yr old church girls) looking at Christmas Temple lights.
Christmas fun all around!
He even has a mobile sleigh that he drives around the neighborhood to visit families. One year he came by and none of my kids would go out front to see him.

T-Ball Memories.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Zach's T-ball team from last year. Brian helped coach this team and it was fun. - Sorry this picture is soo small, it came from my phone. I didn't know that meant it was the same size as my phone.

New Comforter Set

So after looking for a long time, I ended up with this comforter for our room. - I felt like it had to match the colors in the family room area, since you can see my bed from that room. Several options came home from the store and were returned. For now, this is what I have settled on.

Thursday November 19th my sister and I rented out an entire theatre from Harkins to view the Twilight New Moon saga. It was a crazy whim we got when others had rented one out and sold the entire theatre out. - 411 and seats. We completely sold out within 2 weeks. Charging $10 a seat covered the rental fee and left us with about $150 to play with. We bought and got prizes donated and had a raffle for 16 prizes.
That night I had to greet folks in the lobby while Tammy was inside helping people find their seats. Harkins was so great to us, we were able to get into the theatre by 7:45pm and label the seats. Then, we started letting people in about 8pm. Show started at 9.
Everyone who came was so great, and thankful that we did it. They walked past the lines of people waiting for the midnight release of the movie and loved it. I, myself, felt like quite the VIP. They all want us to do it for Eclipse. We might! I have a feeling the companies who got wind of us might not let it happen. They might buy all the theatres out before us lay folk get a chance. Either way, it was tons of fun to watch a movie with about 400 of my friends... LOL I only knew a handful of them.
This is my first attempt at blogging. I will probably change it several times before I am happy. Consider this my amateur attempt.

Most recent news for our family or at least me, is that Brittany is an Oompa Loompa in the community presentation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Several kiddos from our ward are in the show. Brian is over there right now helping with the Saturday afternoon production. I have tickets to view the Monday night show. Cannot wait.
